Commissioned

These are some of the Commissioned work I have done. They started with an idea and ended with a piece of art that my customers can be proud of. These customers are so nice to work with, they give me an idea, I give them back my interpretation and then we proceed to building what I hope will be what they had in mind or beyond. This process is very rewarding for me and my customers (at least I hope so). I also will include on this page "show" pieces that may not be in my inventory.

Hinged Box with Bear inlays. Made of Mahogany, Walnut and Maple. Hand cut dovetail joinery. Custom Designed commissioned Box, with a bear inlay on each side and a bear claw imprint on the top, that wraps arounds the front, back and side. the lid and base have magnets to keep the lid closed. Approx size = 10 1/4" x 6 3/8" x 4 1/2"

Hinged Box with a guitar & music inlays. Made of White Oak, Walnut, Ebony and Maple. Hand cut dovetail joinery. Custom Designed commissioned Box, with a music inlay 360 degrees around the box and an Electric Guitar on the top. The lid and base have magnets to keep the lid closed. Box hold 25 standard CD cases, 57 thin CD cases.

Hinged Box with music symbols. Made of Mahogany and Yellow Heart. Hand cut dovetail joinery. Custom Designed commissioned Box, with music symbols inlaid on the top. The lid and base have magnets to keep the lid closed. Box holds 23 standard CD cases, 53 thin CD cases. Approx size = 10 1/4" x 5 5/8" x 6 1/4"

Hinged Box with grapes and leave motif. Made of Mahogany, Padauk and Purple Heart. Hand cut dovetail joinery. Show Piece Box, with grapes and grape leaves inlaid on the top and wrap over the box edges. The lid and base have magnets to keep the lid closed. Box was designed to hold wine tools, such as; cork screws, foil cutters, etc.....

Serving Tray with inlayed initials and patterned inlay strips. Made from Mahogany with Walnut accesents. The initials are Yellowheart inlayed in a Walnut circle. The handles are carved for a comfortable feeling on the hands. Approx size = 22" x 14" x 3"

Three Drawer Jewelry Box with Inlayed top. Made of Lacewood with Maple handles. The drawers are made of mahogany with Lacewood fronts and are lined with purple felt.

Mahogany Tool Box. Commissioned work, made entirely of mahogany, with felt lined tool holders. Hand cut dovetails and decorative hinges were used. Box holds 24 small chisels.

Mounted Antlers . Commissioned work, Antlers mounted to Oak, used to drape shears over for a window. This design could also be expanded for a hat rack or coat rack.

Hinged CD Box with Bear inlays. With the exception of one inlay, this is the same design as above. This box holds 36 regular cd's or 74 thin case cd's. Made of Mahogany, Walnut and Maple. Hand cut dovetail joinery. Custom Designed commissioned Box, with a bear inlay on each side and a bear claw imprint on the top, that wraps arounds the front, back and side. the lid and base have magnets to keep the lid closed. Approx size = 11 1/8" x 8 3/8" x 6 1/2"

Hinged "Ca$h" Box with maple leaf design. Made of Mahogany, Walnut, Bubinga and Oak. Hand cut dovetail joinery. Custom Designed commissioned Box, with a maple leaf motif design that wraps over the edges. The lid and base have magnets to keep the lid closed. Box was designed to hold paper and coin money as a cash box for a small maple syrup business.

Approx size = 12 1/4" x 11 1/2" x 3"

Shell shaped Box. Commissioned work, base is Maple and the lid is Oak.

Approx Size = 7" x 6" x 3 1/4"

Recipe Box with Black-Tri Aussie inlay & Paw prints. Made from Mahogany, Maple & Ebony. Made to accommodate large recipe cards. Adjustable to keep recipe cards upright. Aussie inlay is facsimile of customers dog "Mollie" markings. Approx size = 14" x 6" x 5 1/2"

Black-Tri Aussie shaped Box. Made from Mahogany, Maple & Ebony. Facsimile of customers dog "Mischief" markings. Approx size = 8" x 7" x 2 1/2"

Aussie shaped Boxes. Awards for 2011 Aussie Confirmation show. Black-Tri, Red-Tri & Red Merle. Made from Mahogany, Maple, Ebony, Bubinga & Paduak.

Guitar Shaped Wedding Ring Box. Made from Mahogany, Maple, Yellow Heart, Purple Heart, Walnut & Ebony. Made to hold the wedding rings during the ceremony.
